A Note from the Heart, I need to get off my chest.......
As a local Austinite, the recent closings of Magnolia Cafe on Lake Austin Blvd and Shady Grove Restaurant on Barton Springs Rd. have been saddening. As the newness and influx of arrival residents settle down in Austin, Texas from other places around the country, I worry part of Austin's SOUL goes away when these institutions become memories.
Austin's Texas battle to both preserve our heritage, culture and history, while still embracing the NEW and energetic is a challenge! I personally think accepting both the old and new of Austin, Texas is critically important to the city's future and entire society.
Thoughts & Opinions from a "UNICORN"...
