Per Cedar Homes Newsletter: Texas State Govt SB840 update: Austin, TX unlocks more housing with code changes + Texas statewide calculator launcher

    Designed and permitted by Cedar .  Townhomes like these just got a lot easier to build across Texas with SB 840!     Greetings from Cedar! Back with an important update on  Texas Senate Bill 840 (SB840)  which is now being adopted across (most) of the cities in Texas it applies to.     SB840 sets a statewide minimum for housing density across large cities by overriding local commercial and multifamily zoning requirements, while also streamlining approvals to accelerate design & permitting. This is a generational reform that unlocks countless opportunities to build a lot more housing, a lot faster, across Texas.     Dallas has been at the forefront of implementation  so far, and projects there are already moving forward with the allowances below. Austin has not issued an opinion, and from what we’re hearing... is not likely to.   August 2025. The McGee Fish and Toddler Bonnie last summer hurrah big vacation trip. We went to Charleston, South Carolina. I was invited to an old college European traveling friend's 2nd wedding in Charleston. Also I've personally always wanted to visit Charleston South Carolina.  Things I learned about Charleston, South Carolina: Charleston South Carolina is one of the USA's old cities, at least as old as the year 1670 The Main old Historic town is highly walkable and simple to navigate.  The neighborhood "South of Broad" has ample beautiful rich residential mansions. The Vibe of the town is....think...New Orleans and West Village NYC but cleaner streets The Fashion of the Residents and Tourists is Preppy Chic The citizenry is attractive and cordial, would be ideal for a single person's lifestyle or perhaps an empty nester.
