George Vance McGee is a friendly, experienced, and actively licensed Broker Associate with Austin Silent Market Inc. A proud Austin native (yes—true Unicorn status), George brings over 15 years of hands-on real estate experience serving the Central Austin and greater Central Texas residential marketplace.

George is a long-standing and engaged Austin Board of Realtors® member, and in 2019 he proudly volunteered and served on ABOR’s Diversity Council and Committee, reflecting his commitment to community, inclusion, and thoughtful growth in Austin real estate. He is currently the volunteer Democratic Precinct Chair for the St. Elmo, SoCo neighborhood and area. He is also currently volunteers as the University of Texas Men's Lacrosse Club Alumni Reporter.

A graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School (2000) and The University of Texas at Austin (2004), George earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts while also spending three years as a Texas Lacrosse Club athlete and member of Texas SAE–RhoHorns Up!

Professionally, George enjoys working across Sales, Leasing, New Construction, and Lot Development, with a primarily residential focus. He’s well-versed in on- and off-market transactions, leasing strategies, and development opportunities. While Central Austin remains his specialty, his geographic reach continues to grow—right alongside the ever-expanding Central Texas market.

Beyond real estate, George is also a 3x indie-published author, having written and released three paperback books:
Open Mindful: Philosophy on the Fly,
Attractive Tales from Grand Cities: A Social Memoir, and
The Nation We Live In.
(All available locally at BookPeople in Austin, Texas or Amazon.com)

When he’s not working with clients, George can be found cruising around town on his ocean-green Buddy 50cc moped, exploring quirky neighborhood coffee shops, tinkering on his iPad, talking sports, or enjoying the Town Lake Hike & Bike Trail.

George happily married Ms. Sheila L. Fish on November 5, 2021, at the East Springdale Station venue, and as of October 2023, he’s proudly embraced his favorite role yet—girl dad to Miss Bonnie Fish McGee, now a joyful two-year-old toddler.
