Listing Description; Bob Barker's estate of 50 yrs will be an opportunity of a lifetime for a lucky Buyer to acquire one of Outpost Estate's most famous homes. Bring this magnificent historical home back to its original splendor while adding your own style and personal touches. The current home, built in 1929, sits on the site of an adobe (the Original "Outpost"), which was the very first home built in Hollywood. General Harrison Grey Otis, the founder of the Los Angeles Times purchased this adobe in 1880 and lived in it until his death in 1917. The Outpost was demolished and the current home was built in its place in classic Spanish Colonial Revival style. The home is measured at 4,855 sqft with a 601 sqft basement that could open onto its own private backyard and the home has an attached 450 sqft garage. The home consists of four bedrooms and three baths on the second floor and did contain two bedrooms/one bathroom in the basement. Each of the second-floor baths contain both a shower and tub. There are an additional two half baths on the ground floor. The home has a magnificent original fresco on the hallway ceiling and features both rounded doors and doorways, a spectacular fireplace in the LR, original stained glass windows and doors, and a wonderful original bar in the library/den. The home has a large and inviting pool and a great flat backyard with a majestic Oak Tree framing the property. The home is City of LA Historic-Cultural Monument No 673 and is within easy walking distance to Runyon Canyon and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The property has not been altered since it was acquired by Mr Barker in 1969 and is a wonderful opportunity to bring this sleeping beauty back to life! It will be impossible not to fall in love and immediately see the abundant potential. The Outpost Estates development was one of the first neighborhoods in the country to offer all-underground utilities. The Mills Act Historical Property Contract Program should also be investigated here. Flying V Realty Investment Co. contractually can not act as a dual agent in the sale of the property and can only represent the Seller. THERE WILL BE NO OPEN HOUSES AND THE AGENT WILL ONLY SCHEDULE SHOWINGS WITH LICENSED RE AGENTS BRINGING THEIR CLIENTS. IF YOU ARE A BUYER PLEASE DO NOT REACH OUT TO ME DIRECTLY UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO REPRESENT YOURSELF/ ARE LICENSED IN THE STATE OF CA. OFFERS DUE THURSDAY BY NOON...........

Austin, Texas has a DOG PROBLEM.....

Austin, Texas has a DOG problem (Letter I wrote and sent) Dear Austin City Council Members, Hello and well regards, Yesterday afternoon during a simple bicycle pedal exercise ride, I was physically chased by an unleashed Pitbull dog in ZILKER PARK. Then directly after recovering from almost being mauled by an unleashed pit-bull in Zilker Park, I attempted to buy a Gatorade at a nearby Barton Springs Road Market, but that didn't go well either, as an interior Market commercial customer had a massive mixed breed dog trolling through the diminutive shopping isles. Then this morning, at a Coffee shop on SoCo, there was only 1 entry way in and out, and there was another large, although more docile mixed breed dog. All of this has occurred in less than 24 hours. What's the point? The City of Austin's dog friendliness and citizen enabling of irresponsible dog owners has gotten out of control. Newsflash! Not everybody like dogs, being everywhere all the time. especially within ...

I got up early and went = ESPN's Live College Football Gameday Show @ University of Texas - Austin Fall 2024

I awoke circa 5:30 am this past Saturday, took a shower, grabbed a quick bite to eat and coffee@ QT; then rode my moped down to the University of Texas, South Lawn or "6-pack" area to view the LIVE ESPN taping and broadcast show, COLLEGE GAMEDAY. When I arrived on campus at 6 am it was still dark and there were plenty of fans already there. The actual LIVE College Gameday Show started at 8 am Central Time. We as fans are simply backdrop visuals and noise for the show. There were tons of fans signs, almost too many to even read. All of the On-Air TV Talent was friendly and excellent! Desmond Howard, Lee Corso, Pat McAfee, Kirk Herbstreet, and Nick Saban. Pat McAfee is the "get the home crowd revved up" talent, which is needed for the live show. Overall it was quite entertaining and free to attend. It'll get your Saturday juiced up. https://promo.espn.com/collegegameday/
