A Hot (and Important) Month, Kirk Watson for the next Mayor of Austin, Texas. a Note from the Campaign.

 

George Vance,    June is an important month for our campaign because June 30th is the first financial deadline our campaign is facing. This deadline sets the tone for the rest of the race, and illustrates how strong our campaign is.    Since launching our campaign at the end of February, I've been fundraising so that we can get our message out.  I'm pleased with the enthusiastic support I've received from so many people from all over Austin. But I need your help to reach our June online fundraising goal. Will you chip in today to help start off June strong?  Chip in Today to Kick Off June! I'm fortunate that I get to spend lots of time with my grandbabies, Effie and Birdie. Those little girls constantly remind me that we need to meet Austin's challenges with intensity and urgency. We need to get the work done even on big issues. We need to tackle our future equitably, creatively, and collaboratively.    I'm running for Mayor with a proven track record of success. And I believe we can build a foundation for future success that supports every Austinite, whatever their background and wherever they live. Throughout my career, I've brought people together and developed coalitions to make real, transformational progress in our community. I know I can do that again.    Austin's fundraising rules specify I can only accept $400 per person or $800 per couple. And in order to hit our goals, we need a lot of people all across Austin to support our campaign. I need your help this month.
