WWII Veteran Richard Overton's Home in East Austin, an Austin Historic Landmark. The plaque marker is not visible yet though. It's located in Central East Austin, walking distance to Figure 8 Coffee, circa Huston-Tilotson College. The  East Austin neighborhood has a wide variety of residential structures ranging from classic East Austin Cottages, to tear-downs, to classic tasteful home remodels, to brand new yuppie rich construction. 

Here are  some links to more information and articles  about 112 year old Richard Overton's life. At the time of his death, he was the oldest living WWII USA War Veteran and the oldest living man in the Nation. Richard  Overton survived Pearl Harbor. He lived in East Austin, Texas.
