The legendary Ski Shores Cafe of actual Lake Austin lore, love, fame, and embraceable, easy ambiance now has another more ATX friendly location on Barton Springs Road. Located adjacent to upcoming the Eastciders brewery, Ski Shores Cafe is open, guest friendly and awesome.

My girlfriend and I stopped in for the first time yesterday during our Town Lake Trail Bike Ride. Every other time I'd been near the Ski Shores Barton Springs Road Cafe's proximity, the outdoor patio had been bustling with happy talking customers. Ski Shores Cafe on Barton Springs Road finally introduces the ATX city slicker folks, to the ideal, peaceful, causal Lake Austin vibe, boat owner mentality, and Lake Austin love, recreational Lake folk have known about and loved for decades, literally decades.

Although the Barton Springs location is lacking actual waterfront sounds, vibes and views, it makes up for it with a friendly, attentive waitstaff, tap beers, a full bar, decor, and a full menu of burgers, appetizers, and fried catfish and shrimp.

GVM gives the experience a solid A-grade.

Austin, Texas has a DOG problem (Letter I wrote and sent) Dear Austin City Council Members, Hello and well regards, Yesterday afternoon during a simple bicycle pedal exercise ride, I was physically chased by an unleashed Pitbull dog in ZILKER PARK. Then directly after recovering from almost being mauled by an unleashed pit-bull in Zilker Park, I attempted to buy a Gatorade at a nearby Barton Springs Road Market, but that didn't go well either, as an interior Market commercial customer had a massive mixed breed dog trolling through the diminutive shopping isles.
