New Mixed Used Commercial Development coming soon to the "South Austin Hippie Highway"

 For some reason, my younger brother Willy McGee called the street in Austin, Emerald Forest, "the South Austin Hippie Highway". Why exactly that moniker and nickname for Emerald Forest I don't know. But it's now stuck in my brain.

Well anyway, here is there website and information I found for a new commercial development build @ 5621 Emerald Forest Drive, in Austin Texas 78745.

Per Their Website;
5621 EMERALD FOREST DRIVE

Restaurant, office, and retail for lease in South Austin.

- Restaurant Space 2225 SF plus at least 1500 SF outdoor space

- 5000 SF of office or retail space configurable into 3 spaces

- Building Concept: 70s “Atomic Ranch” style to match and enhance the neighborhood.

-The interior space will connect with the extensive outdoor space so that indoor and outdoor areas can act as one space.

-There is significant green space that can’t be used as seating but can provide an amenity to the restaurant (vegetable garden or other green space for example).

-This extensive residential trade area in south central Austin is in transition. There is a need for unique, non-strip center restaurants with outdoor space and an Austin vibe. There are few, if any, comparable spaces available in the area.

-This project would create interest in the area and likely spur other new projects.

-This project is proposed. All estimates of square footage are estimates, not verified by third parties.

‘I wouldn’t touch Austin, Texas or Seattle, Washington with anybody’s money’ : Grant Cardone says these two major US cities are some of 'the worst markets to be in right now' for real estate investors — here's why Story by Bethan Moorcraft • click here for the exact moneywise article  prolific real estate investor Grant Cardone has singled out two U.S. property markets he wouldn’t touch with a 10-foot pole: Austin and Seattle.
